| Standing Guard, Resting Deeply |
Fatigue and tiredness get recorded like any painful emotion or physical injury. We are conditioned to push ourselves to continue often regardless of how tired we feel. These recordings of tiredness can be discharged. The counsellor simply encourages the client to rest. Often there is a habit or distress that makes resting difficult and the counsellor needs to figure out what is needed so that the client can rest. An opening approach can be to say to the client I will keep thinking about everything that I know about you and your life and while it's your turn to rest I will see to it that nothing goes wrong in your life. This needs to be believable. Once a client has finished a session resting, where the counsellor has stood guard, you can ask your client what let you rest and what could be better to help you rest.
Often the counsellor will need to encourage the client to simply rest and reassure them that they do not need to cry or laugh or be emotional in anyway. Rest is what is needed for fatigue. Also as a bonus many people find that they cry deeply or shake with fear or yawn. The other thing that gets found is that tensions from very early in one's life get to be worked through with the deep rest.
